There’s something so special about getting to capture a proposal. There’s so much real and raw emotion that happens in that moment. It’s a moment that changes someone’s life forever and becomes a core memory in someone’s life. I was so honored to be able to travel up to Virginia to capture this special moment for Bella and George.
The morning started early with a 4 AM wake up call to head into the park. We drove to the trailhead and hiked to the viewpoint on the Bearfence Rock Scramble where George would ask Bella to marry him. Just as the sun began to rise, she hiked over the other side, seeing him for the first time. George had flown halfway across the country just to surprise Bella in this moment. She was so surprised! Just as the sun was beginning to peak out over the mountains, he got down on one knee and asked her to spend forever with him. Bella said yes, so happy knowing that she’ll get to spend forever with her favorite person.
Afterwards, we watched the sun rise, the sky turning a beautiful shade a pink and orange. On top of the mountain, we had 360 degree views that streched for miles. It is one of the most beautiful places I have had the honor to photograph in.
This was such a special moment to be able to photograph. I loved being able to capture Bella and George’s love and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for the two of them.
