There’s something about eloping on top of a mountain that just feels so grounding and peaceful. Imagine exchanging vows along the water, having a private first dance surrounded by pine trees, hiking to the perfect location in your wedding attire, sharing an intimate picnic as a newly married couple, and enjoying a slow, perfect day for just the two of you. Imagine a perfect elopement that feels just like you. That was what it looked like as Grace and Kyle eloped on at the Penrose-Rosemont Reservoir just outside Colorado Springs last summer.
The day started off before the sun had risen, with us driving up the mountain. Once we reached the trailhead, the two of them changed into wedding attire, and they shared a first look on top of the mountain.
We hiked down to the Penrose-Rosemont Reservoir, and the two of them found the perfect spot to exchange their vows along the water.
They enjoyed a slow, peaceful morning, sharing a picnic as their first meal as husband and wife and having their first dance in one of their favorite spots.
The rest of the morning was spent enjoying the reservoir and surrounding trails, soaking in every unforgettable moment from this beautiful day.
